Front Row for Tiger
Leopard users have the Front Row application in their Applications folder. It may be useful if you want to automatically launch front Row when your computer starts up by adding a login item for example.
Now, Tiger users can also use this convenient Front Row application. Leopard users who have accidentally deleted their Front Row application can also use it.
Front Row 1.0 (29 Ko)
I have not tested it on unsupported Macs, i.e. those without an Apple Remote. If you have such a Mac, please report in the comments if it works or if it still requires Front Row Enabler.
This Front Row launcher has been written from scratch. Here is the source code:
int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
BSRemoteUIToggle();
return 0;
}

Hi! Nope, it doesn't work on MacOSX 10.4.11 on a non-IR mac. Front Row Enabler is still required, but as of today is still not available. Is there an activation trick for 10.4.11 that might be useful or should we just wait for Andrew Escobar to update Front Row Enabler?
I have mac os x. 10,4,11 and it runs on my Core2Dou macbook
nop !
This little app doesn't work on a PPC G4 (non-IR) with MacOS 10.4.11. And FrontRow Enabler doesn't work too ! :-((
Works great on my MacBook! Thanks for posting this app!
i have a rev a imac g5 and it does work.
you need to download "activate front row" and that does what it says on the tin in 10.4.11.
you need to have front row already installed using pacifist though.
note: you get a launcher with that program too but the icon's shoddy. it does enable hd trailers though via front row which is cool.
a little applescript works too:
tell application "System Events"
tell application "Front Row" to activate
key code 53
end tell
byee
I had exactly the same problem as someone who accidentally deleted front row on leopard. It works beautifully now - thanks!
